Werdu

In the first chapter of genesis, God tells mankind: "Peru Urbu…werdu" "Be fruitful and multiply… ". Werdu can be regarded as 'Come down on' but it does not mean come down on in the sense of carrying out a wanton destruction of the ecology. It is usually translated as "have dominion over" but it does not mean have dominion over in the sense of managing the ecology. It does not intend to mean how to manage but how to treat. The nearest rendering of Werdu would be "Have priority over", in other words to subordinate- 'Subject to the authority or control of another' in the sense of having the ecology at your service. It therefore means that the ecology has no right for existence for its own sake.
