Hello
The link below may help some readers who want to know the origins of this family name. I was told by my parents that the name originated from the village our family came from and this was said to be in Syria and that our family left Alleppo in Syria around 1750 for Baghdad. The branch of my side of the family left for India around the 1860's. I found out by accident while roaming the internet and came across a link, which mentions that it is an ancient village in south Hebron. The link for anyone interested is: http://ias.berkeley.edu/lec/mnagler/pacs164b/spring%202003%5cisraeli_dwellers.htm
If anyone can shed more light as to its location and history and that of the ''Twena family'' I am interested to learn more about.
Albert Twena
