Best wishes to you and to your Honourable Deputies for the future of our Country.

This is a historic achievement for the multi- ethnic composition of Iraq in particular and of the Fertile Crescent in general, in which the role not only of the Kurds but also of the Jews- both dead and living, should be recognised.

I and many others who did not immigrate to Israel, have been exiled for 40 years and have waited long enough to regain our nationality. Having voted in the recent historic Iraqi Elections, it is time that you will grant us with this favour while we are still among the living.
