I am overwhelmed by your great generosity in sending
me the present of your Grandfather's work on Koheleth:
I greatly look forward to reading it and learning
from it. I have done a certain amount of work on the
Hebrew text but have always been conscious of not
having enough of traditional Jewish interpretation
and now your Grandfather's commentary will do much
to fill the gap. I look forward also to deepening
my very limited knowledge of Judeo-Arabic, a goal
which your Grandfather's translation and commentary
in that language will help me to attain. And what
a handsome volume you have produced, a treasure to
have on one's shelves.
