I am interested to know your views about “The New Iraq”, i.e. do you think we should give up on it or we should do and think of it as part of our heritage (as part of Israel).

Iraq is an important part of our heritage, and Jewish life there will commence again in the near future.

Second letter from David Solomon:

Many thanks and I hope to meet you one day (and not literally just one day) in Iraq to construct a Minyan. If what I have heard was true (about the Schichena movement), then we will do whatever to bring the Torah back to Iraq (a vision I have already seen over five years).
