Jews in Arab Countries
According to the Israeli Ministry of immigration &
settlements, the number of Jews now remaining in Arab countries
are as follows:
50 in Iraq
80 in Syria
70 in Lebanon
1500 in Tunisia
50 in Algeria
100 in Egypt
260 in Yemen
50 in Bahrain
4840 in Morocco, totalling about 7000 of communities that
in the 1950 totalled one million Jews in various Arab countries.
250 thousand Jews of Iraqi origin live in Israel and 50
thousand live elsewhere.
